Important Notice

Sadaqatul Fitr - £2.50

Dear Respected Brothers and Sisters,

As you may be aware that our Masjid Ramadhan timetable states the amount of Sadaqatul Fitr to be £2.00.

However, Al-Hamdulillah, after extensive consultation and the Mashwerah of the senior Ulama and Muftiyane Kiram of Blackburn, the Sadaqatul Fitr amount for Ramadhan 1431 (2010) has now been fixed at £2.50.

The Prophet (SAW) has specified certain amount of Barley (and other items) which should be donated so the poor can also rejoice on Eid day. The value and price of this fluctuates, and for 2010 a figure of £2.50 has been agreed by the Ulamaa for ALL the Masjids of Blackburn.

We wish to apologise for the confusion this may have caused.
